ESNTV Tasks

10th April 2022 – Thorington Lodge

Sometimes, the best laid plans go awry. It doesn’t usually happen to us, but this was one of those tasks!

We had planned to work at two properties, but could not access Sherman’s Hall, so were limited to Thorington Lodge. As both the Hall and Lodge were occupied, we needed to be as unobtrusive as possible, so the opportunity fell to four of us to tend the gardens.

We weeded and pruned flower beds around the Lodge and drive, trimmed a hedge, cleared a log pile from the Hall garden, weeded the driveway, and made two benches, which we positioned alongside the badminton ‘court’.

We achieved everything we set out to – so well done for the hard work! Thanks also to Phil and Lindsey for helping us to still make the best of the day. And the commitment from the Sherman’s Hall team was really appreciated. At least the sun was shining on the day off we gave you!
