11th September – Flatford Mill

We returned to Flatford this week for our annual task of clearing mace reed from the mill pond.On recent visits this years growth did not appear to be very much but it turned out that the recent good weather had accelerated the growth. Everyone worked very hard whether in the pond or on land and managed to remove a huge amount of reed.
