20th November 2016 – Lavenham Guildhall

On our first working visit to the Guildhall in Lavenham, we were tasked with reclaiming a garden which is attached to the Guildhall, but not currently open to the public. We basically needed to clear most of the plants that were growing in the beds, as well as a couple of small trees, and prune back the few plants that were being kept. We then dug over the beds to remove any remaining roots and weeds, leaving them ready for the Guildhall’s gardening team to plant new bulbs and plants.

It was nice working on a task which we could complete on the day and see the results. We were also quite fortunate with the weather considering what it was like the night before!

Well done everyone who came along and worked hard today!
