21st May 2017 – Ickworth Park

Two quite different tasks awaited us at Ickworth this week. One group got stuck into chopping some laurels down to size, while the others had a tough job of removing turf and digging the dry, solid soil below. The latter task was necessary as the ground is so solid that water is unable to penetrate and grass fails to grow. Therefore it needed a little aeration courtesy of SNTV!
