ESNTV Tasks

23rd February 2020 – Dunwich Heath

‘Us hardy few’ (including Judith!) travelled to an extremity of our patch, for a task at Dunwich Heath. Despite some heavy showers and strong winds, we made a big impact on a small patch of the Heath, removing invasive small trees.

The weather was unsuitable for a bonfire, which meant all ten of us could all get stuck into the task of clearance. Working with the Ranger – Lloyd, and two of his team – we were able to get a lot of trees pulled up, ready to be dragged to the fire site at Mount Pleasant Farm in the week.

Aches and pains by the end of the task, but we emerged largely unscathed, just with a few tools set for the scrap metal bin.

Thanks everyone for your hard work and commitment to the cause!
