25th April 2021 – Lower Barn Farm
This Sunday, we were back at Lower Barn Farm in Dedham Vale, where there were a variety of tasks to prepare a field for grazing.
We were able to offer 15 places this time, and – as usual – it was a sell out! With more places available, we opened invites up to everyone, and it was great to welcome a couple of new members out with us
Two of the group walked across to Flatford to tackle a small job, but the rest of us worked to repair the fence line with new posts, strainers and wire (some of which we had damaged ourselves!) We cleared the branches of a large fallen tree, and smaller trees and branches that had fallen onto the fence, and into the culvert we had previously cleared. And we burned this on one of our biggest ever bonfires – adding to waste from our visits last year and seasoned by the unusually dry Spring!
It was great to see so many people out again and get so much done as a result. Thanks for the hard work everyone!
