29th Feb – 1st Mar 2020 – Slindon Estate

It was great to be able to get together again for a weekend away from the usual patch of Suffolk and Essex. This year’s working weekend was at NT Slindon Estate, staying at the Bunkhouse in Slindon village. The task was well suited to our skills – coppicing a section of woodland belt to open it up for new growth. Team Craske were kept happy with the obligatory bonfire, while everyone else worked hard to bring down trees large and small.

The local ranger, Tom, was very pleased with our efforts, and we appreciated the time he spent explaining and showing us the estate and their work there. We also were very impressed with his Kelly Kettles!

Hopefully everyone enjoyed the weekend, and we look forward to doing it again soon!
