21st July 2019 – Dawns Covert

First time back to Dawns Covert for over three years, and it was great to see it teaming with wildlife. This meant that the main task of the day – wildlife surveying – was easy to undertake. A good variety of insects and birds were seen and recorded. A few people also undertook trimming of the hedge and clearance of the vehicle entrance to the field.

A key part of the day was our annual summer BBQ. Adam and Miles cooked up plenty of sausages which were enjoyed by all – thank you guys! Also thank you to Harriet for the coleslaw and to Lindsey for the salad (which was largely home-grown!)

Well done and thank you to everyone for their hard work today!
