18th June 2022 – Flatford

This was an additional task for us, and – unusually – a Saturday out, having been invited to join ‘Bioblitz’ at Flatford.
Bioblitz is a biodiversity event, supporting the National Trust, and working with Field Studies Council, and RSPB. We conducted ecological surveys, identifying wildlife that lives there. These surveys were submitted using the ‘iNaturalist’ app – which anyone can use at any time – to assist with identification, and recording wildlife populations.
From the huge diversity that we found – the wildlife obviously finds Flatford as nice a place to be as we do!
Thanks to those that took part, and nice to welcome a new volunteer too.
